This is the experiment apparatus set up on the bench ready to go. First the tablets have to be cut and crushed to give different surface areas which is our independent variable for this experiment. |
Next the different surface areas of the tablets are tested by placing them in test tubes with HCL in them. The time is recorded for how long it takes for the reaction to stop bubbling. |
This is our recorded results table which we used to calculate the average time it took the tablets with different surface areas to dissolve. Each surface area was tested 3 times to find the average. |
